www.deadline.com/2010/08/abc-to-adapt-british-spy-drama-mi-5/American version of Spooks? As an American I'm not sure I like this idea call me crazy but it hardly ever works out from taking something sooo amazing with what Kudos/BBC have done and put it into American adaptation. Though creator David Wolstencraft is behind this project. Or should I go find an acting agent and audition? LOL!!!

I thinking this won't last. What I will say is that the only thing that has been successful is The Office.

OK I just had official word from David Woolstencroft himself about ABC not picking up a remake of the show.

OK I just had official word from David Woolstencroft himself about ABC not picking up a remake of the show. As an American and Spooks fan, I am very relieved! You simply cannot duplicate or improve on perfection. I do hope Kudos still got away with a piece of the Disney juggernaut though - fiscally speaking. Even if they don't, if BBC Worldwide can get on the ball and shop Spooks (as is) again to US outlets, they *might* make more money off of it than selling the rights? Just guessing on that one. Mind if I pop this intel up at the SF? I see you already made it to SIC. (Yeah, I make the rounds....) I'll make sure to credit you and your crack research skills. :-)
