I couldn't find a thread for this and seeings as I've just watched this I thought I'd make one. Well actually I watched this for a River Song AKA Alex Kingston fix but still Nicola turned up in episode four. Plus one for unexpected out of the blue lesbian thief plot line. I can't lie and say it wasn't kind of hot  |

I downloaded episode four from iTunes and thought it was rather good. Nicola and Alex in the same scenes! Fantastic. Lucy Diver is a very different character to any of the other roles that Nicola has played. She was amazing in the role. I enjoyed the outfits they wore in this too, especially the red one that Lucy wears.

^I would have liked to learn more about Lucy. She was a very interesting character I thought.
I loved the red dress too but I am biased because red is my favourite colour and I love red on dark haired people to bits.
Yes, Lucy is so different! Loved the working class accent! I also thought that Nicola looked rather beautiful in this.

In an interview Nicola stated she was glad most of her scenes with Alex were cut. I have not seen this yet and still debating over it as well.

^Yes I read that too. I noticed that the acting in the "lesbian" scenes didn't feel as natural as Nicola normally is.
Why don't you want to watch it?

^Not my cup of tea of a film really. I also have no desire to see it in the end. One of the few things I'll say about Nicola's work.

Gosh! Not watching Nicola in a role! That's a shock Fair enough though. Just so you/others know though, Nicola is in episode four only (the last part) and compared to the rest of the film, the scenes of a sexual nature are very, very mild indeed. Aside from kissing, there is only one actual scene where they are in bed together and they aren't doing anything anyway ( you can see Alex' boobs but thats it and Nicola is completely covered aside from face). I thought it was interesting to see Nicola do such a different role like this one (loved the working class accent so different to Ruth) and omg what a blessed, blessed relief it was to see her smile and be merry for once. I thought the scene where Lucy and Moll were laughing together was Nicola at her most beautiful. |
