Thank you for your extensive review Jodie, plus all your other updates on here. I haven't booked for Seasons Greetings but now wish that I had. I am considering trying to get tickets for the New Year and taking my Mum for her birthday. Would it be a bit wierd seeing it when not feeling Christmassy? Thanks again for all your hard work and a Merry Christmas to you. Lisax Even tho you might see it after Christmas it is still worth seeing because it is just too funny!! Also I glad you likethe review I try to include as much as possible for those who won't be able to see it. Yet trying to not give out too much for those who will see it. Have a very Merry Christmas Lisa!!

I reccommend anyone who can go see this play. It was really, really good I thought on all fronts- not just Nicola I have never thought I'd be so pleased about a delayed flight. The first night I went was freezing and Nicola didn't come out to chat but when my flight was delayed till today I ran to the NT last night and got a cheap return ticket to see SG's again coz I really liked it and then I met Nicola afterwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was so nice! I got a lovely photo. Yay for this Aussie away from home. And haha Nicola bitched about my delayed flight with me.

I went to see Season's Greetings back on 4th December with a friend of mine. There was a lot of snow at that time and we almost didn't get to go. We managed to catch a train into London but the one home got cancelled. Luckily we were forewarned and booked a last minute hotel for the night - which meant we had lots of time to wait at the stage door and meet everybody.
Nicola is just the most gracious person and meeting her was the highlight of the whole night. She was so worried about how cold we were - bless her. There was an embarrassing moment when we went to hug for a photo that my arm got caught with hers and then with her handbag. I apologised profusely but she was so nice and simple moved her arm lower, "I'll hug you lower down instead." She chatted lots and was so lovely. Then when my friend had a photo with her, the flash on my camera failed at first but then went off really bright and accidentally blinded Nicola - she laughed so hard at me. I think I was a little nervous to be meeting her but she was just so amazing. Love this woman!!
The show is fantastic and I really enjoyed it. I very much wanted to go and see the show before Christmas but now I've seen it I can understand how it's not just a Christmas show. It's about a whole lot more than that. And it is really, really funny! By the end of Act One I was crying with laughter.
There was a lovely moment at the end of the show, after all of the applause when the actors were filing off stage, when Oliver Chris playfully hit Nicola on the back of the head. It was so funny and so damn sweet that I just had to share that.

There was a lovely moment at the end of the show, after all of the applause when the actors were filing off stage, when Oliver Chris playfully hit Nicola on the back of the head. It was so funny and so damn sweet that I just had to share that. It's weird you should mention that because at the end of the second performance I went to Nicola randomly had something in her hair and Chris pulled it out and they were both laughing. I really, really, really liked this play. I keep having moments where I start quoting it and than realize no one but me will know what I'm on about. It's possibly the most enjoyable I've ever seen Catherine Tate too. The play itself was very funny but there were many huge elements of truth in it too that made the play a little unsettling for me at times. Weirdly on Christmas Day I woke up to my Mum watching Doc Martin and the lady playing the pregnant woman was randomly in it and I recognised her voice. It was weird to think that I had only just seen her a few days ago in "real life." Meeting Nicola was definitely the highlight of my night as well. I actually had someone ask me afterwards if I already knew Nicola because she was so gracious with her time with me and was chatting to me very casually about alot of random stuff that was not really related to acting. They thought I knew her family or something. I was a bit shocked to say the least. Nicola was so nice though. I was very nervous and could hardly speak at first but Nicola made me feel comfortable straight away. Actually I kind of want to send her a thanks postcard from Australia but I don't know wether to send to her agent or the theatre. Anyway, see this play if you can because it's a very good one and there are many laughs to be had. When I get back from work today I will put up a blog post reviewing in detail like Jodie and crosspost to here.

Sorry, not had much time to post on this forum yet but I am going to see SG tonight. Hoping to dash to the stage door after, to catch Nicola. Fingers crossed. I always worry about doing this though. The last time I did it was with Robert Glennister, but he was absolutely lovely even though he was dashing off to dinner. May see you there dutchgirl.

Enjoy the show, girls! And xRuthx, whenever I meet her I send a 'thank you' postcard or letter to her agent rather than the theatre
