Ok thanks for the advice. Will get on to it after New Years. Here are my thoughts/review of Season's Greetings if you want to read but there are some spoilers (relatively vague but still) so maybe only read if you have already seen the play. Feel free to comment on my blog but just sign off any comments with your username on the forum please so I know who you are dweomeroflight.livejournal.com/26712.html

The play was very funny! Especially the last minutes before the interval. Me and my dad were crying with laughter. And after the play I dragged my dad to the stage door. She was the first to come out, but was in a hurry. She was looking for some people and had to go back inside again, so I didn't get to talk to her but she took the time for a photo Sorry, not had much time to post on this forum yet but I am going to see SG tonight. Hoping to dash to the stage door after, to catch Nicola. Fingers crossed. I always worry about doing this though. The last time I did it was with Robert Glennister, but he was absolutely lovely even though he was dashing off to dinner. May see you there dutchgirl. Did you go to the stage door? Might have seen you there

She made to go back inside but her "friends" turned up outside so Nicola stood there talking to them, sharing a big bar of chocolate. I was a bit stuck then and didn't like to interrupt, so I waited a while and then was brave and asked for a quick photo. She was so nice and when I thanked her for the photo, she turned back to me and said, thanks to me, that it wasn't a problem. Glad I did it. She did seem so genuine.

Yes, that was me I think. (black/grey coat, glasses, Chinese looking with a red National Theatre bag?)

I finally got my act together and booked for early March. Very excited about it. Not sure if I am as brave as you lot and could do the Stage Door bit. Might have to persuade my daughter and my Mother that I am dragging along to do it with me.

I saw the play on March 6th....am still in the process of writing up my review (I saw HN the night before as well) but I must say, Nicola was FANTASTIC!
Even when she was seemingly doing nothing at all (ie. sitting in the living room in the dark)

Even when she was seemingly doing nothing at all (ie. sitting in the living room in the dark) Yes. I found my attention was always drawn to her, even when she was just sitting in the dark. I probably missed other parts of the play that I should have been focusing on instead but she has a great presence on stage. My eyes followed her when she went up to the attic too. I always imagine it's very hard to sit on a stage and do nothing whilst the other people play their parts. On the audio commentary of 9.7 of Spooks she said that she mumbles to herself when there is no dialogue in a scene so I imagine her doing this quietly on stage too. In her head, at least. Would love to know what she was thinking during those scenes.
