OK taking another view of this ep.
Things I noticed more this round is the lighting. Really liked how the lift scene was lite with Beth in it. I did notice that the lighting was darker in the safe houses. To me that was more for Chapman because he the dark horse in the end. So it fits to have him in more of a darker state. Rest of the time there are more whites does this mean clarity of what is going on around or something else? I could be way off on that still need to figure that out a bit more.
The lift scene between Lucas and other guy fantastic still loved how it was shot.
I do like the 'dead' look with Beth in the lift very realistic so great job Sophia!!
Harry and Robert when they meet in the guy's house. Now this is well set up with the characters. Robert is sitting with a 'powerful yet casual you can't touch me' kind of way. Harry with his bent shoulders slightly more seated up and forward. This shows his authority and a bit of I'm not wanting to play your game. Robert is wearing a pin stripe suite 3 piece to show his power side. Going to steal something from Hitchcock on this but Hitchcock used those types of suites on the baddies. This showing prison is where this person belongs..... OK I could be going way over thinking on all of this. So feel free anyone to correct me if I'm wrong.
Did notice Ruth eating something during the second meeting room scene and Tariq was he texting? LOL!!
I really see the scene with Ruth in her house and the lone glass of wine totally symbolism for loneliness and of course needing to show a way for Beth to get a finger print. Now with this scene I just want to YELL at Ruth yes Harry there is something more she wants to say but the writers won't write it in cause they are being poo poo heads!!! LOL!!!! But the emotions that are on her face within this scene actually are a few. Lonely, sad, and a bit of frustration all in one. (yay for com class interpersonal communication i know my stuff
) This is the brilliance of Nicola and how she brings out so many different emotions in one scene (ie: Luther ep she did it brilliantly). If you want to see interpersonal communication watch Nicola who does this stuff so brilliantly. (ie: sad, happy, content, anger, lonely.... just in case you are wondering what I mean)
It seems to me that the Foxhills stuff was cut down. Tho I wouldn't mind being Beth lucky thing get's to tackle Harry to the ground. *cough sorry having a I love Harry moment* Now the exchange between Robert and Harry is different yes Robert is dressed like a driver. Harry has a red tie on and general rule of thumb means power. Robert more casual and this to me was more meaning getting his hands on the chemicals and passing them along was just like going for a jog in the park.
I think the Lucas stuff really now after watching eps 1-3 should actually be a one episode story. Throw in the rest of the team here and there but really it can be done in one go I think. What is up with ending the first 3 eps with Lucas?
Where can I get apps for my iPhone like they are able to do with their phones?
"Lucas I'm like a shark, I never sleep" LOL great line Tariq
Did anyone notice that it seems Ruth went home early for once? Lucas and Beth are talking and no Ruth at her station burning the mid-night oil! She propablly went off to cry her eyes out over the lack there is with Harry cause of the lame excuse she gave him. (sorry still think it is dumb they aren't together and end of ep 1 excuse she tells Harry was just stupid).
Harry and Ruth this whatever it is. OK Seriously I think Ruth would be over the whole George thing from 8.1. I can understand her being sad over Malcolm, Jo, and now Ros. She DIDN'T LOVE GEORGE!! Why are we having her still be some what hung up about it to the point that now it is causing her to build up deeper walls with Harry? OK OK small rant done with.
I'm sure I'm still missing some stuff out of this ep and over thought it as well ;D
