As I've finished Touching Evil and needed something to sustain me until S8 of Spooks - I've been watching Wire in the Blood via Netflix. It has Hermione Norris (the lovely Ros Myers) and Robson Green (from Touching Evil). I think it's slightly more frightening than TE or I'm really letting my imagination run away with me. Anyway I really shouldn't watch it right before going to bed. I think I liked Touching Evil a bit more, but WitB is well written and finely acted. Although I keep on looking for the scar on RG forehead!!
I just finished S1 - and am pausing before starting S2 . . . So far an excellent distraction!

I am almost done with Wire in the Blood. I do miss Hermione after she left but a big plus for us Spooks fans. I really do like this show and don't know why I keep watching it before bed. Thankfully no bad dreams. I keep thinking that the city it takes place in really needs to do something about their crime Excellent show overall!

Have to admit to not watching WitB once HN had left. Tony without Carol just didn't seem right It is particularly gruesome but then so are the books on which the series was originally based. 'Waking the Dead' is also very good, well, the first 4 series of it were at least

I'm with you flip - Tony with no Carol was a bit off. I grew to like Alex in later series - but S4 was not so hot - though it got better in S5 though and I loved the Tony babysitting scenes.

Finished this show. I really liked it and am sad that it did not continue. I still miss Hermione out of it but did grow to like Alex as well. Need to watch something cheerful though after watching so many episodes in a row you really do get down.
