Just happened to check this morning and the latest is up for Ep. 5 Wow they leave nothing out of this synopsis. Sadly no mention of Ruth. It seems that this is the ep. where we got to see Ros running out of the building with the explosion. Well I hope it is at least just me taking a guess right now. www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/proginfo/tv/2009/wk48/wed.shtml

Here we go again, another episode where old mentor of Spook comes back, but has a personal vendetta, thus forgets all the good times, and becomes 'baddie of the week'. Alright, I'm being sarcastic (insert sarcastic tag), but it just seems that former mentors aren't the people they remember. Ros: KICK @$$. seriously, this character keeps on getting more awesome. Please let her live at the end of the series. we need someone who can give death glares as well as she can. jo's death is still haunting her. someone get this woman a BAFTA. Tariq: what's your backstory, smarty? we know you're like GENIUS, but how the heck did you get recruited? Sorry, but the sadness for Malcolm are still too fresh. I want to like you, I really really do. Lucas: Are you thick? HELLO!!! Your "play time pal' is a baddie. and a horrible one at that. I am sure she's a lovely person in real life and a talented actress else where, but she just doesn't create the chemistry. Glad for the leather bike messenger scene to bring back memories of 'Robin Hood'. Overall, you need for action sequences. Ruth/Harry: Oh how I love this couple. To satisfy the fans, is so difficult this series, since well, there's isn't much time for romance, but whatever the scenes are provided, you to are simmering the embers. THANK YOU!! Villian of the week: boo-hoo. sacrifices have to be made to protect the one you love. Going all schizo and wanting to kill people for revenge is NOT the answer. Exhibit A: Harry Pearce. The man has been cool as a cucumber, but inside, probably has been waiting for Ruth to 'come home' and just doesn't know how he's surviving without her. Does he feel like getting rid of people who caused her to leave? NOOOO!!! Be smart about it VotW! Man up. Wasn't too impressed with this episode, but exciting nevertheless. Off to review, epi 6 & 7.
