OMG OMG OMG OMG my jaw is still dropped! Damn Ruth and her bust a cap move! Best twist in terms of betrayal the show has ever done! Harry mighty fine acting out of Peter!! Harry and Ruth finally talk! Well all my hopes of Harry and Ruth get together are finally gone sadly! I noticed new shirt for Ruth still blue. Yet I noticed that Demitri and Beth are wearing more blue as well.
OK I have to let my brain take this all in more and need to seriously have a debrief over this ep.
Damn what a mighty fine ep to really bring this all together! I'm freaking out already for next week!
Better review later to come.

NW and PF were so good in this episode! Such a great set up for next week. But I don't like the look of that trailer. Oh Lucas you were my third favourite character... but if you touch a certain someone...

I'm not sure I like how they're changing Ruth. Yes, I liked the take charge Ruth in ep.1 etc. But wow! She is becoming rather hard and without feeling. Yes, I know her work would make for some of that but now she has the wall of all walls surrounding her. Episode 8 may explain some of that. It may also explain where Harry's going. Ooops..we're not talking about 8 here are we.

Small quick thoughts over Ruth after having to talk this out with a few people.
The whole scene with Ruth getting the sh*t kicked out of her held so much. This was the point were it felt like Ruth became a full blown Spook. Used the iron to melt the plastic to break free. Quick thinking on her part there and boy did it look like it hurt! In those moments she was scared and yet thinking like a field agent. The shooting of the baddie wow wow wow Nicola conveyed so much in those few seconds. It wasn't Ruth trying to save herself she could have let the guy die slowly. Once she took that gun in her hand there was no hesitation no going back (flashback to Ruth first walking on to the Grid) this was revenge, release of anger, built up guilt over the Nico/George for feeling fine, and being her own hero. Yes once again Nicola knows how to pull off the facials to convey that! In in that moment we got a new Ruth and a new layer of Ruth. *hands BAFTA award out to Nicola* IF Harry came to rescue Ruth in this moment then the scene would have been a 180 and we wouldn't get this new layer of Ruth nor the might fine acting either.
The hospital breaks my heart to see how much Ruth is dead inside and is just the job. In a sense or small comparison she turned into Adam after Fiona died.
Such an overall beyond Brilliant Nicola taking Ruth to a new level!

I don't like how they are writing 'Ruth' either, she has become cold & hard & I miss the old Ruth, I did notice in the fight scene between her & Mr Deery & the thug when Harry was ringing her I am sure I heard her call out Harry, I am realy hoping the writers pull her out of this & soon, before the end of the next episode 'please', I would hate to think we had to wait till series 10 & her still be like this

I watched 2.5 last night and wow it's scary how unhappy Ruth is now compared to back then I think the way they have taken Ruth's character has been interesting but its time to bring her out of her depression. I've given up on trying to describe NW's acting talent. After Luther I didn't think I could be surprised anymore. But I was. Again.

I did notice in the fight scene between her & Mr Deery & the thug when Harry was ringing her I am sure I heard her call out Harry I HEARD THAT TOO but thought it was my imagination (like I thought Harry called out Ruth's name right before he was about to be shot in 8.1, which I still believe he did even though no one else seems to think so ). So maybe she did! That makes me happy considering the circumstance.

She totally called out Harry's name! It broke my heart - but at the same time, I thought - YES! She's in trouble and she need Harry - and not just because he happened to be on the phone.
Anyone else notice that Nico had enclosed a note for Ruth? Obviously George's family hasn't cut ties with her and must want (or Nico) must want to keep in touch with Ruth! This makes me cry. I can see Ruth trying to avoid contact because she feels so guilty.

Quote "Nicola Walker acted everyone else off the screen." I couldn't agree more!!! I have yet to see a program where NW doesn't act everyone else off the screen... I'm still recovering from Luther... where she outacted the entire regular cast back to the flipping stone ages
